GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Lowell Police Department dedicated a memorial Hero Sign on Monday for Officer Christos G. Rouses, who died in the line of duty on November 17, 1978, with family members and officials in attendance. The sign—created by the Lowell Sign Shop—will serve as a lasting tribute to his service while similar dedications will honor other fallen officers on their anniversaries.  Inside Lowell
  • The U.S. Navy awarded UMass Lowell and Stony Brook a $6.3M grant to boost energy resilience in naval operations and on land.
