LRTA will hold a ceremony on Friday, June 26 at its Hale Street bus headquarters to honor retiring bus driver Norris 'Bucky' Chew for 50 years of service in Lowell. Chew, who began in 1976, said he will ride his Harley Davidson — and visit Kimball’s for ice cream.
Lowell’s Revolutionary Valley Regional Tourism Council and LatinX Center announced that FIFA approved 17 watch parties to show the 2026 World Cup from June 13 to July 19 at the Tsongas Center and Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
