  • Poe in Lowell returns as a three-day festival that celebrates Edgar Allan Poe’s visits to the city and marks the 30th anniversary of Meg Smith’s events—local venues will host spoken word, live music, dance, film screenings and art exhibits from October 24 to 26.  Inside Lowell

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Today, UMass Lowell’s Lowell Center for Space Science and Technology signed an agreement with Space Centre Australia LLC to form a global consortium for aerospace research— the five-year deal gives researchers access to a C-130J-30 Super Hercules Research Aircraft from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility and allows more institutions to join future space and environmental missions.  Inside Lowell

  • The City of Lowell and the Lowell Historic Board will host the Sun Sign Restoration Lighting on Monday, October 27 at 6:30 p.m. in front of the Lowell Memorial Auditorium (50 East Merrimack St.).
