Yesterday, Superintendent Liam Skinner discussed the Lowell Public School system's latest MCAS results (following his recent evaluation by the School Committee) as part of the Daily Pulse.

State Senator Ed Kennedy died from pneumonia complications last night at Lowell General Hospital—he served the 1st Middlesex District since 2019 and had been in and out of the hospital since early September.

He also served on Lowell City Council and as Middlesex County Commissioner and is survived by his wife, two children, and three grandchildren.

The Healey-Driscoll Administration is working with UMass Lowell to create advanced nuclear and fusion energy roadmaps that will guide research, manufacturing and future power generation in Massachusetts — the four-month project will gather input from industry, government and community partners and release its plan by the end of the year.
