  • ➤ The Lowell Regional Transit Authority extended its free fare pilot program for another nine months, through June 30, 2026, so passengers continue riding free across Greater Lowell. The program is entering its second year and is funded by state money — Gov. Maura Healey, Lt. Gov. Kim Driscoll and the Legislature support the initiative.  Inside Lowell
