UMass Lowell police reported that a man carrying what appeared to be a firearm (as shown in a social media video) was seen behind Riverview Suites on South Campus this afternoon, which led to a campus-wide shelter in place order that was lifted after an investigation while classes stayed canceled and counseling was offered as officers continue to search for the suspect.
