ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ UMass Lowell and Mira Intel in Lowell were among the 20 recipients of $3.6 million from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center last week to support clean energy innovation. Dr. Jinde Zhang at UMass Lowell received $75,000 to develop a superhydrophobic surface to reduce drag on marine vehicles — the funding is expected to boost local research and advance clean energy — as part of a broader effort to spur progress in state technology.
