- ➤ Teamsters Local 25 presented college scholarships worth $78,000 to 39 high school students at its recent membership meeting — one local graduate, Harrington R. - ➤ Lowell was selected as one of 36 cities to receive technical support, planning help, and studies to set up on-street EV charging stations under a MassCEC program funded by ARPA—residents can share their input through a community survey to choose the best locations for these stations. - ➤ Paulette Renault-Caragianes announced she will not run for the District 2 City Council seat because her troubling knee injury stops her from campaigning fully. Her withdrawal leaves incumbent Corey Robinson unopposed unless another candidate submits the required paperwork with 150 certified signatures by Tuesday, July 22nd — a deadline that may shift the contest.
