EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ At Abisi Adult Education Center’s graduation on June 5, 669 adult learners earned English certificates and high school credentials with recognition from local officials. The center, which served nearly 1,500 students from 55 countries this year, offers classes in English, math, and social studies—helping many connect to the Lowell community. Inside Lowell
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The Massachusetts Pirates signed former Alabama and Maryland quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa, who most recently played for the Hamburg Sea Devils in the European League of Football — his signing makes this his fourth professional league. Inside Lowell
- ➤ Zdeno Chara, a former Lowell Lock Monster who played 24 years in the NHL including a Stanley Cup win with the Bruins, was selected yesterday to the Hockey Hall of Fame.
