- ➤ McAuliffe and Lincoln Elementary in Lowell partnered with Ignite Reading this spring to offer daily 15-minute online tutoring for first and second graders needing extra help with reading and comprehension. A showcase in May highlighted early gains as 76 percent of the students passed testing and many advanced from kindergarten to first grade levels—showing clear progress and preparation for next challenges. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Lowell Housing Authority voted Wednesday night to sign a one-year contract with Modern Pest Services—using an Integrated Pest Management plan—to phase out Second Generation Anticoagulant Rodenticides on all LHA properties. The plan will improve resident safety and protect local wildlife by focusing on non-chemical methods, quarterly inspections, and resident education. Inside Lowell
