- ➤ Community Teamwork honored three local leaders as the 2025 Champions of Community Action during its spring celebration on May 15 at the Andover Country Club to recognize their efforts in supporting emergency housing for women facing insecurity (Joe Hungler of the Boys and Girls Club, Leniz Perez of the Merrimack Valley YMCA, and Sophy Theam of Enterprise Bank). GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Governor Healey said the state would use the abandoned Lowell District and Superior Courthouses — on Hurd and Gorham Streets — for future housing as part of a broader plan to build more affordable homes. The state will issue a request for proposals for the Hurd Street building in the next six months and will open the Gorham Street building to developers in late summer. Inside Lowell
