At a Lowell School Committee meeting on Wednesday, May 20, the board voted 4-3 to reject a motion for Superintendent Liam Skinner to review the staff dress code policy — officials said the issue should be handled at the building level given only a few reported cases.
🌲 Environment
UMass Lowell received over $4.1M from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center to create a housing innovation testbed for retrofitting and new construction as part of its BuildSmart Housing Innovation TechHub.
The project was announced Tuesday and will feature demonstration sites and a makerspace (SMIRC) for sustainable housing solutions.
