- ➤ Governor Healey’s office announced that all EA hotel shelters will close by the end of summer and the former UMass Lowell Inn + Conference Center will change from a Bridge Track to a Rapid Track shelter and CSR in July. Discussions are underway to extend the state lease through December 2026, with the state reportedly paying $4 million per year as UMass Lowell faces remaining debt on the property. Inside Lowell
