- ➤ State Representative Vanna Howard was appointed by Speaker Ronald Mariano to serve on the Commission on the Status of Persons with Disabilities. She said her appointment is very personal (her daughter is disabled) and she will work to improve access and fairness in local policies. Inside Lowell
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Lowell Girls Lacrosse teams energized their season on Mother's Day weekend with strong wins, a tie, and one loss. The 1/2 team beat Methuen 10 to 2, the 3/4 White team won 10 to 8, the 3/4 Red team tied 18 to 18, and the 5/6 team lost 12 to 10 while the 7/8 team prepared for a game on May 18. Inside Lowell
