UMass Lowell celebrated renaming its student center as the Martin T.
Meehan Student Center this past weekend to honor the native leader's service to the university and community. The ceremony also saw the renaming of a street as Meehan Way and a $1.5 million donation announced to help student programs.

Today, Massachusetts DOR and DOS issued guidance for businesses to round cash transactions while keeping sales tax based on the exact purchase price — the rounding only applies to the final cash total.
Businesses should post their rounding policy and offer payment alternatives.
