- ➤ Thirty Butler Middle School students traveled to Boston for a Boston Marathon pre-event where they raced, learned about sportsmanship, and placed third overall — they were the only Lowell school invited from across the state. Inside Lowell

- ➤ Officials announced that the UMass Lowell Inn & Conference Center will cease serving as an emergency migrant shelter on June 30 and its managing agency will focus on moving families to permanent housing. Confusion remains among legislative, city and university sources over whether the state will secure a new operator or return the building to UMass Lowell, which may sell the property later this year as it faces significant debt and costly renovations.
