- ➤ Sidney Liang filed paperwork yesterday with the Massachusetts Office of Campaign and Political Finance to run for the District 7 seat in Lowell, and Jose Cervantes also submitted his application. If both complete the required signature process this summer, a preliminary election will narrow the field for the November 4 general election. Inside Lowell
- ➤ The Lowell Police Department dedicated a memorial Hero Sign to honor Officer George F.A. Pearsall — who was fatally shot on duty in 1957 — at the site near Perry and Alton streets where he died.
