The program showed that updating heating and cooling systems—like at the Athenian Corner restaurant and a 1893 church renovation—cut energy use well below projections and set a model for future upgrades.

Today, the City of Lowell’s CO-OP team visited a homeless encampment on the Merrimack River near Pawtucket Street to offer services and inform residents of planned cleanup.
