  • Officers Daniel DeJesus and Cherubin Musangu became the first two cadet graduates to join Lowell PD’s full-time force when they graduated from the Lowell Police Academy on Oct. 10, 2024 — they gained community policing experience through the paid Cadet Program and passed the Massachusetts Civil Service Exam with high scores before joining the late night patrol shift.  Inside Lowell
  • On March 25th, the City Council voted 8-2 to grant tax breaks to Sal Lupoli and permit him to transfer his interest in dormant parcels in the Hamilton Canal District to another developer—this decision ends plans for a high-rise anchor and follows months of closed-session talks after Lupoli failed to meet earlier development promises.  Inside Lowell
