On Tuesday, the Healey-Driscoll Administration awarded state biodiversity grants to support Lowell and UMass Lowell environmental projects.
Lowell received $173,157 to build a mini-forest and pollinator garden in Centralville (a project aimed at boosting local biodiversity), while UMass Lowell got $93,165 for oyster reef research at Plum Island Sound.
