About this event

Radius has historically supported MIT students’ ethical self-reflection, partnering over the decades with groups like Science for the People and MIT Students Against War. We are now pleased to support a new initiative called the AI Pause Coalition, which is petitioning for recognition as a student organization and whose leaders are actively involved in Radius programming.

Do you have concerns about the speed of AI development? Are you concerned about the environmental footprint, the privacy and surveillance implications, concentration of power, or risks of catastrophic outcomes or extinction?

Join us at the AI Pause Coalition's first meeting to:

• Discuss recent developments in AI policy in Massachusetts and around the country

• Discuss the possibility of a pause on new frontier training runs

• Give your own perspective, hear from the community, and develop a shared understanding of key issues

• Join working groups to research policy and take action on AI issues

Pizza will be provided!
