Clavinet Mini-Summit: Amy Bellamy and Dave Limina

About this event

Piano Department Chair Dave Limina and Harmony Professor Amy Bellamy present a concert of funky tunes that feature the vintage Hohner Clavinet. This electro-mechanical keyboard is best know on recordings like Stevie Wonder's "Superstition" and "Higher Ground." Bellamy and Limina will have two Hohner Clavinets playing together on tunes that feature the instrument like Herbie Hancock's "Steppin' in It" and "Hang Up Your Hangups," as well and "Outa Space" by Billy Preston and "Tell Me Something Good" by Rufus. They will be joined by the super funky Larry Finn on drums, Chris Loftlin on bass, and Debo Ray on vocals.
