Martin Sexton - Live Wide Open Tour - Two Shows!

About this event

Martin Sexton returns to City Winery Boston to mark 25 years of Live Wide Open, his critically acclaimed double vinyl live album, with a set built for the fans who've kept it in rotation since day one. Expect the record brought fully to life. Sexton's voice, a genre-defying instrument that moves from soul growl to falsetto without warning, anchors a set list drawn straight from Live Wide Open's fan favorites, alongside new material and the kind of surprise covers that have made his live shows legendary. This isn't a museum piece of an anniversary tour. It's a working musician revisiting a landmark record with the same improvisational spark that made it essential in the first place. In City Winery's seated, intimate setting, that spontaneity lands close. Every vocal run and unplanned detour is felt a few feet away, not from the back of an arena. Settle in with a glass of wine and let a quarter century of live music history play out course by course, the way a night of great songwriting and great company should. This is a rare chance to hear an anniversary record celebrated the way it deserves: live, loud, and unrehearsed in all the right ways.
