About this event

Join Sally Cragin for an engaging workshop, "Art, Storytelling, and Introduction to Tarot" designed for grades 6-12. Participants will delve into the rich history and artistic traditions of tarot, particularly focusing on Pamela Colman Smith’s iconic 1909 illustrations for the Rider-Waite deck. Through interactive activities, teens will learn about the structure of the four suits, the symbolism of Major Arcana cards, and how these elements can inspire character development and storytelling. The workshop will also cover basic tarot reading practices, encouraging discussion and hands-on experience with simple readings. Embrace the blend of art, narrative, and tarot in this creative exploration!
