Kids at The Cabot: Popcorn! A Circus Variety Show

About this event

Remember your first yo-yo? The one that mostly just hung there? Popcorn! is what happens when two performers spend their whole lives refusing to put those toys down. The show turns a shelf’s worth of nostalgia into an hour of real spectacle, weaving circus, magic, and live music into something that never stops moving. Peter Cannizzaro is the resident clown at Dartmouth Children’s Hospital, where he has spent years learning exactly how to hold a room. Eric Girardi is a legendary yo-yo artist and circus variety performer whose hands do things that should not be physically possible. Together they are warm, sharp, and ridiculously skilled, and they built this show so the adults in the house have as good a night as the kids do. A natural fit for theatres, festivals, schools, and family programming of every kind. Buttery smooth skills, a whole lot of heart, and an explosive amount of popcorn.
