About this event
How can Jewish thought, law, and values inform the ethical questions raised by artificial intelligence? Join rabbis and scholars for a lively, moderated conversation bringing Jewish perspectives into dialogue with academic approaches to some of the most pressing questions of our time.
Featuring Prof. Steven Pinker, Rabbi Mordechai Becher, Rabba Dr. Yedida Eisenstat, and Mathis Bitton, panelists will explore questions such as: Who is responsible when AI causes harm? Can AI replace human judgment in moral decisions? How do deepfakes challenge truth and reputation? What does the rise of AI mean for human connection, the dignity of work, creativity, and our sense of purpose? The conversation may also consider AI in medical ethics, from diagnosis to end-of-life care.
Appetizers at 6:30 pm, followed by the panel from 7:00–8:00 pm and audience questions. All are welcome.
