Boston Comedy Festival: Comedy Competition

About this event

96 comedians. One week. $7,000 in prize money. And your chance to see the next big name in comedy before everyone else does. The Boston Comedy Festival Comedy Competition brings 96 comedians from across the country (sometimes Canada) to Boston for one of New England's biggest stand-up competitions. Over eight preliminary rounds, 12 comedians take the stage at each show, all hoping to impress the judges and earn one of just 32 spots in the semifinals. And here's the fun part: you don't know who's going to break out. Some of these comedians already have impressive credits. Others could be the next big name you haven't heard of yet.
