The origination of Swing has a few variations and is considered the All American Dance. It's been around since the 1920's and was also formerly know as the Jitterbug. The dance became very popular when the Big Bands started playing in blues clubs and they had to modify the Lindy Hop into smaller spaces and to be danced to slower music. Come join the fun as you learn a variety of today's popular swing dance moves! Please remember to bring a second pair of shoes to dance in. You can change into them when you arrive. This prevents tracking sand and salt from wearing outdoor shoes onto the dance floor. Thank you kindly! See you on the dance floor!
