About this event

New to computers? Start here. This friendly, hands-on class covers the three essentials (the mouse, the keyboard, and the internet) at a comfortable pace.

You’ll learn how to:

• Hold and move a mouse, use left-click, right-click, and double-click, and find your way around the screen with confidence

• Find letters, numbers, and common symbols on the keyboard, then type your first words and sentences

• Understand what the internet is and how it works

• Open a web browser, visit websites, and move between pages, using everything you practiced in class

Offered in collaboration with the Boston Public Library and taught by Michael Brown, Community Learning Reference and Workforce Librarian.
