About this event

Program description:

Join curator Sheila Gallagher for a conversation about Exercises in Empathy: Accompaniment , the Boston College chapter of ArtCut ’26: the Catholic Universities Art Triennial , an international contemporary art project commissioned by the Dicastery for Culture and Education of the Holy See. The exhibition considers empathy as a human capacity that can be deepened and shared through artistic experience. Gallagher will discuss the development of Boston College’s curatorial theme, accompaniment—being alongside another while remaining attentive to difference—and the ways artists in the exhibition explore attention, listening, materiality, and our relationship to one another.
