Bein Hashemashot is the Hebrew name for twilight, the liminal time between day and night when one is ending and the other has not quite begun. It is a space of transition, possibility, and becoming, and the inspiration behind Aleph’s new Havdalah experience.

Join us in Boston for the next gathering in our immersive Jewish Renewal Havdalah series, co-led by Rabbi Ariel Hendelman and Marni Loffman , presented in collaboration with B'nai Or Boston and the Judeofuturism Project’s 70 Seeds exhibition.

Before we gather for Havdalah, you’ll be invited to move through interactive experiences inspired by the Four Worlds and the elements of water, air, fire, and earth. Through reflection, blessing, scent, creativity, and connection, we’ll prepare together to cross the threshold from Shabbat into the week ahead.

Then we’ll gather in the round for Havdalah: music, candlelight, spices, wine, prayer, and community woven together through the spirit of Jewish Renewal.

Schmooze, explore, sing, reflect, and experience Havdalah not simply as the end of Shabbat, but as a doorway into possibilities yet to come.

Stay for the 70 Seeds Ritual Lab

Following Havdalah, join the 70 Seeds Ritual Lab , an intimate, community-generated showcase of new and experimental Jewish ritual.

Community members, students, and ritual makers will lead short rituals, inviting participants to experience different approaches to Jewish spiritual practice while helping creators explore and develop their ideas in community.

The Ritual Lab is part of the Judeofuturism Project’s 70 Seeds exhibition, imagining possible futures of American Jewish life.
