About this event

How do we help children thrive? While the harm of adverse childhood experiences has received considerable attention from researchers in the fields of medicine and psychology, until very recently less attention has been given to the impact of positive childhood experiences on long-term health and thriving. Dr. Sege will discuss how PCEs promote health and well-being, and present a framework for the building blocks of Health Outcomes from Positive Experiences (HOPE) with a special focus on the roles that educators, schools, and community organizations (e.g., mentoring and after school programs) can play in promoting HOPE.
