About this event
This intro to sewing will teach you how to operate a sewing machine and learn how it works.
We will look at the mechan ism inside a sewing machine and some general advice, such as which fabrics and stitches to use. We then move onto the hands on part, whe re we do straight stitches, learn to turn a corner, learn to move the fabric while stitching, and learn how to stitch two fabrics together.
No prior experience is necessary!
The training takes place in person at the Brandeis MakerLab, located above Starbucks in the Library's Farber Building.
