About this event
This 90-minute class is designed to simulate the physical demands and transitions of HYROX racing. Classes run outdoors rain or shine, although portions may occasionally be held indoors depending on programming needs. The class will focus on HYROX-specific skill work and RoxZone transitions including, but not limited to: Ski Erg Sled Push Sled Pull Burpee Broad Jumps Row Machine Sandbag Walking Lunges Farmer Carry Wall Balls Programming will vary week to week. Some classes may focus heavily on only 4–5 specific HYROX stations to allow for more detailed skill development and pacing work, while other classes may include all 8 race stations in a more complete race-simulation format. Running intervals will be performed throughout the workout between skill stations to mimic the “compromised running” feeling experienced during HYROX competition — learning how to run efficiently while fatigued from functional movements. This class is ideal for anyone training for HYROX events or members looking to improve endurance, pacing, transitions, and race-specific conditioning.
