Flood Stories from the Ancient World with Nate Ramsayer

About this event

Everyone is familiar with the character of Noah—how he built a large boat and saved his family and the entire animal kingdom from certain destruction by a worldwide flood. But did this event actually happen? What kinds of physical evidence do we have for such a flood? Other cultures from Mesopotamia have similar flood narratives, but they call their main character by different names: Utanapishtim, Ziusudra, etc.…which is the true story?

Join biblical scholar and archaeologist Nate Ramsayer for the third installment of his six-part series Before the Bible: Legends and Myths That Inspired Israelite Scripture , as we wade through the complex waters of the Bible’s flood narrative. Feel free to join, even if you missed previous sessions!
